Lubna Naz is an Associate Professor in the Department of Economics at IBA Karachi. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the Pakistan Institute of Development Economics, Islamabad. With over 20 years of experience in teaching and research, she has projects spanning various domains, including climate change, human capital, social security schemes for home-based workers, vulnerability mapping of disaster-prone regions, and WASH, in coordination with national and international organizations. She contributes to the capacity building of early-career faculty and researchers as a trainer in quantitative methods in climate data and health in collaboration with international organizations, including USAID, Colorado Boulder University USA, Reading University UK, and ICIMOD. She is a distinguished member of the Expert Panel on Data Integration Community in Asia and Pacific-United Nations and a member of the review panel of research projects at the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan. She has earned several fellowships as a team lead from prestigious organizations, including USAID, the DHS program, IZA, and ICIMOD. She has presented her research at prominent institutions such as the World Bank, IMF, IHEA, PAA, and UNFPA.
Munazza khan is a researcher and committed to educational management with universities. Currently, she has been associated with IBA as Manager, CBER. She has 14 years of experience including working with Military Land and Cantonment as Educationist and project lead and Master Trainer. Ms Khan has also lead projects at IBA-CEE which included Induction of Clerks of Parliament-Senate Pakistan, Higher Education Commission Pakistan, USAID, Australian Awards Scholarship Program, Tertiary Education Support Program supported by Higher Education Commission funded by World Bank. She has been active in organizing seminars, symposiums, national and international Conferences at various institutes such as IBA, University of Karachi and Iqra University. She is currently pursuing my PhD in History, University of Karachi and holds MPhil in International Relations. She has contributed her research papers in esteemed journals along with multiple newspaper articles, she was a regular contributor in Jahangir World Times on the issues of International Relations, International Security Dilemma, International Political Economy, European Union, also in national and international conferences within and outside the country. She has been visiting faculty at Szabist, IoBM, University of Karachi, Greenwich University.
Rao Israr Ahmed is associated with IBA for more than a decade. He has worked on the projects with Aman CED. Currently serving as Senior Executive at CBER.
Shagufta is a PhD scholar in economics at the Institute of Business Administration, Karachi, Pakistan. Her research focuses on the impact of cash transfers, education, inequality, gender, and how targeted interventions can enhance the well-being, particularly for vulnerable populations, and contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). She has presented her work at various prestigious conferences including Royal Economic Society Conference 2024. She has earned fellowships and training from esteemed organizations including World Bank and HEC.
She is the coauthor of the book “Development Pathways: India, Pakistan and Bangladesh at 75” and has contributed a chapter in each of the two e-books published by IBA on the impact of COVID-19 on the economy. She is the editor and co-author of the book “Legends in Economics.” She has taught macroeconomics, microeconomics, public finance, development economics, economics of education and research methods courses at undergraduate level. She writes regularly in leading Pakistani newspapers on various topics including poverty, FDI and digitalization.
