Child Wellbeing in Pakistan

Partner: UNICEF

As part of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between UNICEF Pakistan and the School of Economics and Social Sciences (SESS) at IBA, the Center for Business and Economic Research (CBER) and the Population Research Center (PRC) are embarking on a collaborative effort to compile a comprehensive report on child well-being in Pakistan. An earlier report by UNICEF, titled "Situation Analysis of Children in Pakistan" (2017) already provides a highly informative description of child well-being in Pakistan. The objective with this report is to provide an academically informed perspective on these issues to gain a deeper understanding of the various facets of child well-being in Pakistan, significantly enhancing our comprehension of socio-cultural, economic, negational, and environmental aspects of child well-being in the country. Building upon the earlier UNICEF report and other academic and policy research on child well-being in the country, this report aspires to offer a detailed analysis of child well-being, taking into account factors such as gender, age, location, income, and educational stratification of parents."
