Faculty Seminar Series: Momentum crashes and variations to market liquidity

Momentum crashes and variations to market liquidity

On September 26, 2019, CBER conducted a faculty seminar. Dr. Hilal Anwer Butt presented his paper "Momentum crashes and variations to market liquidity" and Dr. Saqib Sharif presented a fellowship proposal on "Corporate financial fraud and the role of short sellers in China". The objective of the seminars organised in thisseries is to encourage the exchange of ideas and stimulate a culture of research and discourse.

For this purpose, faculty members are invited to nominate themselves as a speaker for one of the seminars. Speakers may discuss work that is at a later stage of completion and needs further refinement for a seminar or conference outside IBA or may choose to discuss work-in-progress at early stages as well as potential research projects and ideas. Speakers may also present any of their recent papers. Faculty members are also encouraged to participate as discussants. Senior faculty is especially requested to present their work to inspire and motivate young researchers.

The seminar was attended by the Executive Director, Dr. Farrukh Iqbal; faculty member and students.
