The International conference on tourism sustainability is planned as a platform for tourism researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and other key stakeholders particularly in the global south to come forward and discuss key local and place-based challenges to tourism sustainability to bring tourism research, policy, and practice closer. They shall discuss various aspects of tourism sustainability in the context of recurrent and looming threats confronted to this sector and their economic, social, environmental, and institutional implication at various levels of human organization – from local to global. The event will also discuss the issues in making tourism accessible and meaningful learning experience for all, regardless of their gender, aging, disability, or other aspects of marginalization that conventional tourism has failed to entertain. In this context, the event is envisaged to discuss various important issues including but not limited to the following themes of tourism policy, planning, and practice.
