Adnan Qadir Khan Professor at the School of Public Policy at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and currently serves as Chief Economist at the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO). Adnan Qadir Khan is a Professor at the School of Public Policy at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and currently serves as Chief Economist at the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO). He is a member of the Steering Committee for the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Global Synthesis Coalition. He is affiliated with several global research institutions, including the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL) at MIT, the Center for International Development (CID) at Harvard University, and Yale’s Research Initiative on Innovation and Scale (Y-RISE). He is also involved with the Building State Capability Program at Harvard Kennedy School and the Reducing State Fragilities Initiative at the International Growth Centre (IGC). He is a founding board member of the Centre for Economic Research in Pakistan (CERP). With over 30 years of experience spanning academia, policy, and practice, his work focuses on economic growth, development, political economy, state capacity, and geoeconomics.
